For everyone, everywhereI have a great life. Really. It’s not perfect, but it works well. Stuff happens and challenges arise, but that’s the way it goes. I am sharing this because I don’t think my life is great because I am ‘blessed’. As a matter of fact, that’s why I writing about this because I bristle at people saying they are blessed – as (to me) it sniffs of “I am and you’re not” thinking, although I doubt most people would examine that possibility. And maybe blessed is not the word they were looking to use to describe how happy they are for their life.What I AM is Grateful.
I am Grateful for my health, my family, my friends, my 2 new adopted dogs, my cat Phoebe, my home, my business and clients and vendors and team mates, and the list that continues when I get on my Gratitude Roll. Because (again, to ME) the source of my life being great is my Gratitude for it being that way. Gratitude is my access to the Divine, the Source, the Creator, and that perspective keeps the line open between us and open to what is all around me. And for THAT I am Grateful, too.Being Grateful is a practice, like yoga or golf or anything else that is worth doing and worth cultivating. Being Grateful helps most when life goes south, as it does. But it goes south less often because I am Grateful for the learning that challenges bring.Take a look for yourself. What fuels you and your life?
